1) Sometime within the last seven days 33 years ago, my car was assembled. My Trans Am was built in the first week of January in 1981. When was your car's birthday? (engineering question after gap)

2) What are the biggest engineering contributions that have served human welfare and the needs of society greatest between the years 1964 and 2064 (I need some ideas for a scholarship I want to apply for). I'm thinking either advancements in communication, automotive safety, or the the move for efficient vehicles. For any other high school opponauts interested here is the link !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

2. How about Volvo's invention of the seatbelt? You can also say how they shared that technology with other automakers instead of keeping it as a marketing tool for pure profit. They would rather see it save lives over putting them ahead.

But we're supposed to keep it a secret until 2048...

Wasn't that in 1958 or 59? Sadly outside of my constraints.

Last week of December, 1976 for the T/A. Probably by a bunch of hung over holiday celebrators.

Not sure about the Camry. Could give two shits to check. Plus, cold as taints outside.

Not sure about the other thing. I will say toilet paper. Just because I am in need of some right now.

Velcro. Invented by NASA in the moon race. Imagine how many awesome ways to attach things to other things could be invented by a mars race. Thats right, society was bettered by racing spaceships!

The microprocessor in the late '60s/early '70s is what I'd go with (but I'm aiming to be an electrical engineer :D ). Integrated circuits would have been better, but that was in the late '50s.

Still changed the way EVERYTHING was done. Allowed miniaturization of computers through less heat, allowed portability through less power draw, and more usability through the multipurpose/programability(?) of it.

Edit: never mind, read the link, saw it was a video instead of a link :/
My contribution doesn't sound so hot now. Could link to the present with parallel computing and onto quantum computing, versus how things could have been if you had stayed with magnetic. Imagine playing a video game off of something like an 8-track. Weird.
